The Governor's despatch dated 4th October, 1927,

was considered by the Oversea Defence Committee at

the 283rd Meeting on 18th November, 1927.

The Committee agreed:

"That the Governor of Hong Kong should be thanked for his detailed report on the food situation in Hong Kong, and should be requested to include in the revised Defence Scheme for the Colony plans for controlling these supplies in an emergency."
